HCC is thrilled to present the Kamali’i Po’alima Program (Furlough Friday Program). The program runs from 7:45am to 3:00pm at the HCC Hale at Hoaloha Park, Kahului and is open to 3rd—8th graders

Our location on the shores of Kahului Harbor, the one-of-kind facility, and experienced DOE certified staff makes this program unlike any other being offered on Furlough Fridays.

The morning includes instruction in math, reading, and science while the afternoon includes canoe paddling, hale building, and Hawaiian culture. Teachers are able to provide solid academic instruction by using hands-on activities. Plus, what kid doesn’t want to go to school at the beach!

Kids must bring their own lunch, swim clothes and a towel. The program cost $20 for HCC members and $25 for non-members. There is afternoon bus service available to Upcounty, Kihei, and Central Maui.
